June Newsletter: Pacific Standard / Columbus Alive Collaboration
This month's newsletter: Pacific Standard Magazine and Columbus Alive team up to publish an in-depth long form article on Forest Listening Rooms. I also spent time at Bard College for the Creative Capital 2019 retreat. And finally, more reviews have come in for Shawnee, Ohio. Thanks again to all of you, and for your interest and support. With gratitude, Brian

Creative Capital Artist Retreat 2019
I was honored and happy to attend and present at the Creative Capital 2019 Artist Retreat. Once again, I saw the most inspiring projects from across all disciplines. I’m so proud to be among and to learn from these people, and to share my own work, too. Look for a video of the presentation in the coming months. (Image courtesy of Evan Walsh.)
More Excellent Reviews for "Shawnee, Ohio"
I am grateful that more reviews have been coming in for Shawnee, Ohio. There has also been much radio play, from the BBC's Late Junction to Italy's Radio 3 to RTE, Ireland's National Gaelic Radio Station. Read these reviews (and translations) below!
Some highlights:
“The more I feel unable to figure it out, the more I like the work... Harnetty’s created modern art out of regional history.” — Justin Cober-Lake, Dusted
“[There is] a strong sense of engagement... in the ability to absorb oneself so deeply in the history of a place that the most trivial happenings, rather than the most dramatic, turn out to be the telling ones.” — Brian Morton, The Wire (UK)
“A great piece of work.” — Max Reinhardt, Late Junction, BBC Radio 3
“A gentle cloth of chamber music is spread over archival material in this melancholic and tender publication... Enormously fascinating and authentic through its artistic and musical examination of the past. 9/10 stars.” — Henrik Beeke, OX Fanzine (Germany)
